Dan Fogelberg

I was saddened to hear yesterday of the passing of Dan Fogelberg. Although most of my favorite songs that he sang were recorded before I was born, I still loved and admired his work.

My folks were big fans of his. I cannot remember a day when my mother didn't have "Leader of the Band" playing at least once during the day. My favorite had always been "Same Old Lang Syne" and I have it on my ipod. My friends think it's silly for me to listen to someone like him but he has always been an inspiration and an unseen friend when other friends were not around.

My world revolves around music and yesterday we lost one of my inspirations. As I make my run for the roses into the world of womanhood, Dan Fogelberg will be there with me and I know heaven's a better place because Dan's there smiling down on us all.

I'll miss you Dan. See you when I get there too!
